PDOP has weekly life skills training for those with disabilities. There is a younger groupd for ages 10 to 18 years old and another group for 18 years old and up. PDOP also has monthly social events for PDOP members. The events are scheduled throughout the year. Contact for dates and times for each social event.

Individuals with a traumatic or acquired brain injury, caregivers, family, friend, and professionals serving TBI clients

Offers programs and events during the year. These services include cognitive training classes, physical fitness programs with personal trainers, art classes, cooking and nutrition classes, a virtual speaker program, attending sporting events, and a variety of other educational and social activities. The cost of membership is $25 per year and all events are offered to members and their caregivers/family at no additional cost. Offers support services to traumatic brain injury survivors and their family at these events in various ways including discussions during selected meetings and introductions to Board Members with specific experiences in different areas of interest.<br />

The Healthy Living Institute is partnering with UNLV's program and offering these free trainings for parents. Learn about key positive parenting principles such as ensuring a safe and engaging environment, creating a positive learning environment, using assertive discipline, having reasonable expectations, and looking at yourself as a parent. Parents can attend one or all sessions (children are not able to attend the sessions).

Provides website-based resources for parents and caregivers who play an essential role in helping children and teenagers recover from traumatic events. The website has a number of resources including definitions and types of child trauma, treatments and practices, screenings and assessments, information on trauma-informed care, as well as tip sheets and trainings in English and Spanish.

Any patient, caregiver or family impacted by SCD

Monthly support group for patients and families impacted by Sickle Cell Disease. Group meets one Thursday monthly to connect and get information relevant to SCD. Hear from expert healthcare providers, patients, advocates and other healthcare professionals.
