Helps pregnant and postpartum women with opioid and substance use disorders by offering the following services: connection to medical treatment, referrals to treatment centers for substance use, linkage to community resources, education, advocacy, and support for mom, baby and the entire household for up to one year postpartum. Service approved by SAPTA.

Youth in 9th-12th grade in Douglas High School

Focuses on empowering youth to speak up, stand up and be heard about health issues that affect all teens. A group made for youth that want to help empower themselves and others with the use of leadership skills and evidence-based curriculums.

Youth in 6th-8th grade at Carson Valley Middle School

Children ages birth to 21 with hearing loss or communication access issues.

A parent-driven, non-profit organization that exists to support, encourage, and educate families of deaf and hard of hearing children, so that they can be empowered to make choices that will enable their children to achieve their full potential. Programs include parent guides, deaf/hard of hearing guides and educational advocates.

Children in foster care or custody cases

Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA volunteers, are empowered directly by the courts. They offer the system critical information to ensure each child’s rights and needs are being addressed. The CASA volunteer serves as a “guardian ad litem” under NRS 432B.500.
