Individuals must be without shelter for the night they apply and meet income guidelines, as well as other FISH policies. *Serves counties: Lyon, Storey, Douglas, Carson City

Operates three shelters for men, women and families. Initial length of stay is 90 days; returning residents can be readmitted to the program for 30 days after a 1 year period. Eligibility is determined during the intake application process. Persons with violent criminal convictions/tier 2 or 3 sex offenders are not permitted per FISH policies. No pets are allowed at the shelters.

Program admits adolescents 24/7, providing an immediate safe haven for runaway/homeless youth in need of crisis intervention or emergency placement. Provides early intervention screenings with special attention to medical, psychological and legal needs. Reunification with their families is the priority where feasible.

Provides emergency shelter referrals for adult females who are chronically homeless with a documented mental health disorder. Services included basics needs, medication management, and case management services.

Homeless, abandoned, or at-risk youth ages 12 to 21.

Homeless, runaway, and abused/neglected youth, including sexually exploited youth ages 12 to 20.

Offers short term emergency shelter for youth experiencing a crisis. A case manager will work with youth to find long term options.

Youth ages 16 to 24 that are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.

Provides emergency shelter for homeless and at-risk youth. Youth will have access to intensive case management, substance use disorder counseling, mental health referrals, educational assessment, vocational training, and life skills groups.

Homeless families with children in custody.

Provides shelter for families with children in custody.

Homeless adult females age 18 and older.

Provides homeless shelter for adult females, also offers assistance center.

Offers homeless services for adult men and women, along with case management and wrap around services.<br />

Chronically homeless individuals with mental illness. Must go through intake and orientation before services can be accessed.

Clinical Services: Psychiatric, medication management, individual and group mental health therapy, and substance abuse counseling. Non-Clinical Services: Crisis intervention, stabilization case management, daytime drop-in services for showers, laundry, lounge, refreshments, life skills education, and groups.

Emergency shelter housing for families and individuals. Those staying in the shelter have access to shower/laundry facility and hygiene supplies.

Homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students

Provide food, clothing, school supplies and other basic necessities to keep students in school and focused on graduation. Serves 75 high schools in Southern Nevada and 21 high schools in Northern Nevada.

Provides a day shelter in the summer for clients to get out of the heat. Clients are able to take showers and wash personal laundry.

Serves families, single fathers with children, transgender, and individuals with a disability. Those who do not qualify for a cold weather shelter.

Men's Emergency Shelter Services

Shelter Assistance, Food Assistance

Provides free services to individuals experiencing homelessness. Services include telephone use with free long distance, voicemail service, receiving mail, computer with internet access, fax, copying, and information and referrals.

Food Pantry, Shelter Assistance, Clothing Assistance, Transportation Assistance

Adult men 18 and older.

Adult men and women no children.

Offers a cold weather shelter for adult men and women (no children) with showers and congregate meals.

Homeless and at-risk youth ages 18 thru 24

A center for homeless, runaway, foster, and other at-risk youth such as victims of crimes (theft, abuse, exploitation, human trafficking, etc.). This is the central intake and assessment facility in Northern Nevada. Youth have access to resources for basic needs such as food, clothing, hygiene items, and a safe secure place to be during the day. Offers counseling services, work force development, life skills groups, health care services and more.

Limited shelter, gasoline vouchers for individuals or families in need who are traveling through town, and transportation services to assist clients who are stranded for them to continue to their planned location.

Adult men 18 and older.

Emergency shelter for men includes laundered linens, showers, toiletries (when available), shower and restroom facilities. Available on a first come first serve basis. Bags are secured upon check-in.

Provides emergency shelter and case management services that are approved by the Veteran's Administration for female veterans.
