Provides intake, triage, application assistance, and referral to the Human Services three direct service divisions; the respective divisions will stabilize families with case management services.

Free inspections of car seat installation.

Works in conjunction with certified car seat technicians who are available to the community to inspect and properly install car seats.

Lyon County residents who are deceased and meet indigent criteria.

Pregnant, breastfeeding woman, or recently pregnant with infant under age 5. Must meet income guidelines.

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children funded by USDA. Offers nutrition education and specific supplemental foods for mothers and guardians of children 0-5 years of age, pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Individuals experiencing crisis in Lyon County

The MOST team is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Human Services Case Manager and a Behavioral Health Peace Office. MOST meets with individuals in the community who are experiencing a mental, emotional, substance or suicidal crisis. MOST assists individuals in crisis with connecting to and accessing community services and supports to reduce or eliminate barriers causing crisis and provides case management and follow up supports. Parents with children ages 1 to 18 years old

Program teaches parents the fundamental attitudes and skills necessary for parenting young children.<br /><br />Loving Solutions is a 10 week program written for parents raising difficult or strong-willed children, 5 to 10 years of age.<br /><br />Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior is a 10 to 16 week program designed for parents raising difficult or out-of-control adolescent children, ages 10 and up.

Caregivers

Provides six-week long class to all informal caregivers of any age who care for adults age 60 and older, and/or grandparents or other relatives, age 55 or older, caring for a child, age 18 or younger.
