In order to enroll, the individual being supported must have a diagnosed or significant problem behaviors that, if continued, would put the individual at risk for being diagnosed with a disability.Workshops are open to anyone who supports individuals with disabilities and challenging behavior.

PBS-NV is a statewide project (trainers are based out of Elko, Las Vegas, and Reno). We provide trainings and individual consultation to families with children with disabilities and challenging behavior. We have a variety of topics including Building Cooperative Behavior, Potty Training, Picky Eating, Routines/Transitions, Sleep Hygiene, and Addressing Challenging Behavior. While these team trainings are targeted at families, teachers and other community professionals are welcome to attend in support of the child. PBS-NV also provides the opportunity for families to have individual consultations with a Behavior Analyst following each workshop to better serve participants and improve quality of life for the family.

UCAN is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals concerned with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders in children. The Team is a diverse group of professionals from different disciplines and agencies throughout Northern Nevada comprised of child psychiatrists, child psychologists, school psychologists, an occupational therapist, marriage and family therapist, speech language pathologists, and a developmental specialist. This means providing individualized outcomes from assessment that has a meaningful impact on children and families and enables affordable access to assessment. We provide three extensive assessments per month as well as follow up to help families access the recommended treatments outlined by the Team. The team functions in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology in the School of Medicine.

Child Development Program

Birth to 18 years old.

Evaluate patients who are not developing, learning, or behaving the way their peers are. Provide counsel and treatment for children, adolescents and their families.<br />
