The HIWA program is a Medicaid option that allows you to work, earn money, and have affordable health insurance ooverage. It is a program to provide medical assistance to persons who are employed and have disabilities. The HWA program is a part of the Social Security Administration Ticket to Work Act. The goal of the HWA program is to help Nevadans with disabilities stay independent and productive at work with a health insurance plan that's affordable, flexible, and comprehensive.

Parents of children receiving serious and financially-challenging health care treatment. Children must be 16 or younger at the time of application, have a Social Security Number issued by the Social Security Administration (TIN numbers are not accepted), must be covered by commercial/private insurance, and under license medical professional. Family must not exceed maximum eligible family income as documented on IRS Tax Form 1040.

Provides medical grants to help with expenses for children, and gain access to health-related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their parents' commercial health insurance plan. Children must be 16 years old or younger while meeting other grant requirements.
