Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) in the state of Nevada, Department of Health and Human Services, repents Nevada’s elders, children and adults with disabilities or special health care needs.

Seniors age 65 and older or those receiving Social Security Disability for 24 months.

Provides information, counseling, and assistance to Medicare Beneficiaries in Nevada involving a statewide network of volunteers. Gives assistance navigating and understanding Medicare in an unbiased manner.

Persons who meet the legal criterion of having an intellectual disability or a developmental disability.

Provides services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Includes jobs and day training, nursing, behavioral consultation, counseling, supported living, and service coordination.

Children ages birth through 2 years with a pre-qualifying disability or 50% delay in one development area or 25% delay in two areas.

Provides early intervention services to children with developmental delays and/or disabilities and their families.

Individuals 18 to 61 with a disability or 62 and older; has lived in Nevada the last 12 months prior to application; income guidelines; Medicare eligible.

Assists with a portion of monthly premiums with participating Medicare Part D plan.

Children between the ages of 18 months and 19 years of age with ASD diagnosis.

Provides a monthly allotment to pay for on-going treatment development, supervision and a limited amount of weekly intervention hours based upon a child’s individual treatment plan, age, and income. Covered services include program training; development and supervision; daily intervention hours; and essential tools, supplies or equipment.

Intellectual disability or closely related developmental disability.

Services include: service coordination, supported living services, jobs and day training, family support, respite care, and intermediate care facility ID.

Seniors 65 and older who meet income and assets guidelines.

Provides non-medical attendant care services, homemaker, light housekeeping, respite to seniors to maintain independence in their own homes as an alternative to nursing home placement. For individuals who have income or assets somewhat above the Medicaid waiver limits.

Individuals whose disability causes a substantial functional limitation and lacks other resources.

The AT/IL Program is a statewide program that supports an individual’s choice to live in their community with the use of Assistive Technology (AT). The program’s focus is on removing daily living barriers. The program can help individuals define their Independent Living goals and determine the appropriate Assistive Technology (AT) needed to care for themselves, or receive care, in their homes and their community. The program has resources to provide a variety of AT when no other resources are possible. Individuals that are currently in a care facility, or at high risk of placement in a facility, can be prioritized (if funding is available) for the services that are necessary for them to live independently in the community.
