Childcare payment reimbursement for grandparents/guardians age 55 or older in Northern Nevada raising their grandchild(ren) or other relative(s) under age 18 without support from the biological parents.

Based on household income or enrollment in Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF

Nutrition education and supplemental food for moderately low income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5.

Adolescents in grades 5-7 (ages 10-12) and in grades 8-12 (minimum age 13)

Two evidence-based programs that teach youth about making healthy life decisions. They are both proven effective in reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, and teen pregnancy. Available for implementation in six northern Nevada counties. These programs incorporate medically accurate information along with crucial knowledge on identifying and handling social pressures. Youth learn about reproductive health, puberty, hygiene, personal responsibility, independence, communication, avoiding risky behaviors, respect for self and others, build knowledge and confidence, and more.
