Income and identification for all household members can not exceed 200% of Poverty Guidance. Children ages 0 to 12.

Will provide a limited number of financial scholarships to help needy families meet the demands of childcare assistance. This program assists families who have been impacted by COVID-19 and for families facing a childcare emergency.

Offers up to a 90 day shelter program for women with or without children and 120 days for victims of human trafficking. Services include but are not limited to customized case management, victims’ services, domestic violence support groups, workforce development, housing assistance, mental health counseling, medical assistance, CPS support, educational enrollment for children, meal programs, laundry services, financial literacy classes, mentorship programs, youth activity center, teen advocacy program, life enhancement classes, and eligibility services including SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid.

Homeless women with or without children.

Provides a safe place for women and women with children to spend the day. Women who work nights are allowed to sleep during the day. Daytime bed rest is also allowed for the medically needy for those residing at Shade Tree. Starting in May meals, shower facilities, laundry facilities, telephone and mail services are available at no cost.

Homeless and abused women and children.

Provides shelter for 30 to 90 days after completing five day stay. Residents are assigned a case manager to determine barriers, goals, and access to resources including programs/services/clothing. Meeting are held on a weekly basis and a multi-disciplinary team meets weekly to review each client’s case and to determine progress being made. Shelter is open year around.

The State of Nevada is providing $30 million in short-term rental assistance to Nevadans experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19. Funds will be paid directly to your landlord or property manager on your behalf. These residential rental relief funds are offered as a grant to eligible Nevada tenants and are not required to be paid back.<br />The Nevada Housing Division is administering this program in coordination with Clark County Social Services, the Reno Housing Authority, and the Nevada Rural Housing Authority.<br />APPLICANTS MUST MEET ALL OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING:<br />• Must be a tenant in Nevada with a current, active lease in which back-rent is owed;<br />– Assistance will be provided on a per-lease basis. For example, multiple individuals living in one home in separate rooms with separate leases are all eligible to receive funding; however, only one member of a household should apply if multiple household members all live together in one home under one lease.<br />• Must be able to demonstrate financial hardship due to COVID-19 (loss of employment, reduction in work hours, and/or reduction in wages);<br />• Must have a gross annual household income that is at or below 120% of Area Median Income (see chart below);<br />• Must not be receiving Federal Voucher Housing Assistance; and<br />• Household has liquid resources less than $3,000

Victims of Violence crimes.

Serves survivors of domestic violence and their children who are not in need of shelter but who would like access to counseling, support groups, safety planning, legal referrals, and medicaid.

Provides services to the community by providing a referral list of physicians of various specialties that are members of the society. The referral list includes address, phone number and medical education information i.e., medical school, internship, residency and fellowship.
