Services Provided: The Corporation for National and Community Service is a federal agency that engages more than five million Americans in service through Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve America, and United We Serve.
AmeriCorps State and National is a federal volunteer service program under the AmeriCorps umbrella that provides funds for local and national organizations and agencies committed to using national service to address critical community needs in education, public safety, health and the environment. Recipient organizations use their AmeriCorps funding to recruit, place, and supervise AmeriCorps members who serve in AmeriCorps State and National projects in every state, U.S. territories and on tribal reservations. Full-time members receive a living allowance, health coverage, and child care, if needed.
