The Statutory Rape Prevention Project is designed to inform students, mandatory reporters and other community members about Nevada’s statutory rape laws, the legal consequences of a statutory rape conviction, and the impact statutory rape has on its victims. The presentation for mandatory reporters also covers the legal responsibilities of mandatory reporters. The presentation utilizes a lecture format, interactive activities and can be tailored to fit a time frame from 50 minutes to 2 hours. Provides no cost legal assistance to victims of domestic violence. Assists with temporary and extended protection orders, custody issues, and divorce. Includes immigration advocacy to assist victims of violence with VAWA petitions, U Visas, T Visas, unaccompanied minors and children in foster care with Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) Visas and asylum plus other immigration matters. Also assists Afghani parolees who have been resettled in Southern Nevada with their immigration needs.

Offers free community legal education classes covering the topics of divorce, paternity and custody, and immigration. Following the immigration class, attendees can sign up for a free Ask-A-Lawyer to get more information. Also offers a monthly clinic to assist Spanish speaking individuals complete family law court forms.
