Dr. Steinmann is an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist who is triple board-certified in pediatrics, adult psychiatry, and child psychiatry. She has a special interest in children and families struggling with chronic comorbid medical and mental illness, and the impact of chronic illness on sibling relationships and family dynamics. She is passionate about medical education, mentoring, and fostering interest in psychiatry as a career. She is course director for the 2nd-year behavioral neuroscience curriculum at the University of Utah School of Medicine, provides interdisciplinary education in psychiatry for the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program, and serves as faculty advisor for the Psychiatry Student Interest Group. She has received several teaching awards for her work from colleagues and students.
