Susan Jensen recently graduated with a doctorate of nursing practice degree from the University of Utah. She formerly worked as a clinical nurse in the University of Utah’s Newborn ICU. Her 7 years of experience with newborns and their families fostered her desire to care for children of all ages as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her doctorate project entitled Impacting the Care of Children with Rare Disease through The Medical Home Portal reflects her strong interest in caring and advocating for children with rare disease. She will be working as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Genetic Medicine treating children with rare metabolic conditions.
